Swami Jyotirmayananda ashram is 15 km. North east from Red Fort on Delhi-U.P. border. Spread over 5000 sq. yards in a very serene and picturesque surroundings. Beautiful garden with lustrous and exotic plants reminds ancient hermitage of sages. In magnificent mansion besides excellent facilities for modern living there is a spacious Satsanga hall, Library, Medical clinic and a printing press. In this serene and dynamic environment the subtle spiritual vibrations of H.H. Sri Swami Jyotirmayananda fill in the atmosphere with the silent but powerful message of truth and soul is nurtured and nourished all.

As early as 1969 Swamiji had laid the foundation of IYS in U.S.A. In 1978 Sri Swamiji visited India and founded International Yoga Society and IYS Trust. ‘Swami Jyotirmayananda Yoga Samsthan’ then IYS amalgamated in it. Since then society started its regular activities from Patna (Bihar) India. Conducting satsanga and publishing monthly Hindi Journal ‘Yoganjali’ were main functions.

Taxi and three wheelers are available from New Delhi Railway station for Loni Road. Lal Bagh Colony is situated near 2 No. Bus Stop (1½ K.M. before proper Loni). Nearest Metro station is Shiv Vihar. One can take cycle rickshaw or three wheeler up to Lal Bagh Ashram.

SERVICE TO HUMANITY
SERVICE THROUGH
LALITA JYOTI ANATHALAYA - -ORPHANAGE FOR GIRLS

Society has been engaged in the service of orphan girls through its wing known as Lalita jyoti Anathalaya (Orphanage) since 2002. LJA is located in a quiet country-side of Ganaur, in Sonipat district of Haryana. Presently 56 girls are being looked after and getting food, shelter and education. LJA is an Anathalaya in true sense, as it doesn't merely provide shelter, food and education to orphan girls but also gives parental care and homely environment where each child is looked after under affectionate care of mother. To impart good education, a school up to middle level is running in the campus. A Music teacher trains girls in various cultural programmes. There is provision for computer Training, Yoga, folk dance and training in house keeping.

SERVICE THROUGH JYOTIRMAYANANDA ASHRAM DUMARI BUZURG OR IYS DUMARI (ANADA BHAWAN PROJECT)

It is a Socio-Spiritual and Cultural Centre in Village Dumari Buzurg ( Dist. Saran, Bihar, 38Km from Patna). It is a source of inspiration for men, women and youth of the Village. There is a Satsanga hall, Library, where regular activities are conducted.

This centre runs a girl school where education is being given to 105 poor girls where milk, breakfast, lunch, uniform, stationaries and books to all students are also provided. Along with educating poor girls society is engaged in educating village women where regular adult education is given to ladies thrice a week. Free coaching is being provided to students of poor family. 50 poor students are getting free coaching in the centre. Society distribted 110 blanket, 50 Sarees, and other clothes to poor ladies and gents in December 2013.

SERVICE THROUGH FREE CLINIC

Since its inception, Society is rendering service to downtrodden, poor and needy by running a Clinic “Swami Jyotirmayananda Charitable Hospital” in Ashram premises at Lalbagh Loni, Ghaziabad. Functions of clinic are:

1. To diagnose cases.
2. To treat cases fit for treatment at clinic.
3. To get admitted in other hospitals, cases requiring prolonged hospitalization or special surgical interferences.
4. To immunise children and newborn.
5. To provide x-ray and pathobogical tests on nominal cost. Medicines are also given free to poor patients. Clinic staff consists of Honorary Medical Consultant (presently Dr. S.B. Mishra, Vice President
cum-Managing Trustee of the society) and one compounder, and a nurse.Despite its humble setting, this clinic treated 7937 outdoor cases and immunised 1360 children.

SERVICE THROUGH JNANAYAGYA SCHEME

A unique scheme “Jnanayagya” for rapid dissemination of inspiring message of Sri gurudev to uplift moral, ethincal,national and emotional level of people. In this project small booklets, pamphlets, folders and brochures containing inspiring message, instructions, guidance and teachings of Sri Swamiji on practical topics are brought out with active help of devotees. These gems of Swamiji’s teachings distributed free at social gatherings, marriages and satsanga with an aim to help people enjoy their life. Ten book-lets, more than 20000 folders and brochures printed and distributed free of cost during the year.

SERVICE THROUGH CHARITY AND POOR FEEDING

Poor and needy persons who visited Ashram now and then were given financial help, clothes, food, medicines etc. according to the need of the person and available financial resources. 550 poor men and women of village Dumari Buzurg and Sonbarsa were gifted blankets, sarees and other garments. Over 1200 poor persons were fed during the year.

SERVICE THROUGH YOGA TEACHING AND CAMPS

Regular Yoga training camps were held in Loni Ashram where people learned techniques of healthy living. Three such camps were organised during this period. Regular weekly Public lectures were held on every Sunday morning, Tuesday and Thusday evening.

SERVICE THROUGH CELEBRATIONS

Annual function on 3rd Feb., 5th Feb and 7th Feb were held at Loni, Ganaur, and Dumari Buzurg. Besides this Gurupurnima, Ramnaumi, Janmashtami, Indipendence Day and Republic Day celebrations were held in Loni Ashram

SERVICE THROUGH MARRIAGE AT ORPHANAGE

One orphan girls got married at Lalita Jyoti Anathalaya, during the year. They received gifts inform of house - hold items to start their life as a respected member of society.
